As I was reading Cas’ shoe blog yesterday, it took me back many years to when her love of shoes began.
When Cas was four years old she was asked to model the latest children’s fashions for a large Department Store. There was an array of beautiful clothes and one pair of very fashionable shoes and Cas just fell in love with the shoes and couldn’t wait to wear them each day. Waiting to go on stage, she would stand in front of the mirror, not admiring herself or the clothes she was wearing, instead she would just look down at her feet and admire the shoes. She wore those shoes for two weeks and had the time of her life dancing around on the stage. This was a pivotal time in her life and the very beginning of her love for shoes.
After that time a trip to the shops meant a visit to the shoe department first. Even to this day, when we shop, we always visit the shoe department.
And when my feet hurt from the ‘fashionable and stylish’ shoes Cas has encouraged me to buy, all I can say is thank goodness for Cooei!
